Art Tips for Frame Shapes and Mat Color

Vary Frame Shapes
Add interest to a picture grouping by hanging pictures with differently shaped frames. Here two oval frames round out a diverent set of rectangular frames. Handpainted vines and faux picture wires further serve to unite the pieces.

Mat Colors
Pictures will have greater impact if matted in a contrasting color to the wall. Choose a dark mat for a light wall and vice versa.

Just finished this  !! paint still wet when I took the pics !

16x20 inch acrylic painting on stretched canvas .

I wanted to paint something related to a blue moon -- but -- came out with this beautiful painting  instead !!

the moon seems to be gray and silver most of the time -- I think it has many colors .

 Everyone loves the Mystic of a full moon, at least I do !

This moon is  spinning out beauty as it is shining !

I sponge rolled a mix of blue, green and white for a background color and then had fun with a brush for the  black trees and multi color moon.

It will make a lovely addition to anyone's decor -- use in living area, bedroom or just about any room you want to add this lovely abstract painting to.

I wanted to paint something with teal -- came out with this beautiful painting and some teal in there because of the mix of blue, green and white .

Flowers are so pretty -- no matter what kind .

 These are a product of my imagination -- so I couldn't tell you what kind of flower -- have fun naming them yourself !!
